Lessons Learned
Lessons Learned
Some of the lessons learned in using OER materials:
- Students contribute to the course by making recommendations about lessons, including suggestions for modifying or deleting sections
- Some teachers may find the move to OER challenging and need support for adoption
- Sufficient bandwidth capabilities are critical to effectively incorporate OER
- Accessibility to devices for students is a key component
- Students need home and/or community access to the Internet
- OER analytic components, providing feedback to users on competency and areas of concern, would be beneficial
- Concerns regarding OER that disappears or is not kept up to date
- Development of effective OER in a timely manner
